DCWS Meeting - April 14th

Show & Tell and magazine review

It is always very interesting and especially inspiring to discover our members completed and/or ongoing projects. In addition, it is an excellent opportunity to share a magazine article or a book which stimulates our fibre passion.

Marie-José is proud to show her newest woven rugs. The book written by Angie Parker entitled Krokbragd Contemporay Weaving with Colour helped Marie-José to explore this technique.

Kathleen is showing a vest she knitted with yarn received at Christmas

JoAnne explains how she recreated a Shetland pattern she saw earlier. It has been laborious but she succeeded!

Helen shows a shawl woven with yarn (wool and silk) the she spun. Beautiful!

Joyce shows us two scarves woven with wool and silk. The technique used is deflected double weave. Beautiful colors!

Johanne is showing us a vest she knitted.

She is also showing us a scarf given to her by a friend. It has been woven on a computer harness loom. Impressive!

Thanks everyone for sharing your projects.
