For our first 2024 meeting, our members had a lot to talk about. Good festive holidays with family and friends and .... fiber projects to Show & Tell.
Cathy showed us a sweater she made with a "Test Knit" pattern. Cathy had to provide the yarn and complete the sweater according to a prescribed deadline.
Also, Cathy told us about her experience with natural dye purchased from Long Way Homestead. Overall, she said that she liked the product.
Jan told us about her thoughts on recycling old knitting projects she completed several years ago. These unused sweaters have been in her closets for a long time. She undid them and knitted stockings from the recycled wool.
She also showed us a sweater that she made with wool that she spun.
Caryl showed us two woven projects. First a graphically impressive table topper and second, a blanket made with 100% wool.
JoAnne and Marilyn showed us the Advent Calendar stocking they knitted. Arne & Carlos gave 6 knitting rows at the time during the month of December. While they were knitting, JoAnne and Marilyn didn't know what the final project would look like.
