DCWS members can be seen knitting on various projects during our weekly meetings. The fact that we are now in 'social isolation' due to the COVID 19 pandemic gives us more time to pursue our hobbies. This blog focusses on knitting by our Guild members. What's on Your Needles?

Apparently there is some spinning going on during our isolation.
Elizabeth send in this photo of her latest project - which she said she is pleased with as she finally achieved a yarn that doesn't look like it was meant to tie up a BC Ferry. Drop Spindle spinning!

Our lovely Spring weather has enticed people to spend more time outside. But there is still time for creating lovely things.

Helen's finished scarf - knit from blank |
Helen has found a unique project - knitting a scarf from a blank. I had to ask what a blank was - its a tube already knit which comes undone to be re-knit.
Anita has been busy sewing surgical caps and masks and working in the garden. She also managed to finish these lovely knit socks.

April 2 - 2020
Anita is using up her left over sock yarn to make a blanket. Its called Domino knitting - each square gets knitted onto the next with all ends being knitted as you go (saves time on the finishing for sure).
