We are well into Spring on the Saanich Peninsula. As Spring bursts out with new life, our spirits are raised and there is a buzz about the Guild. Our programs committee has done an excellent job of finding interesting speakers to inspire our creativity.
Karen Selk gave an excellent presentation on 'Silk" at our March 24th meeting. It was so interesting to learn how this lovely fibre comes into being. Karen's talk inspired many questions and we may have to organize a Part II to satisfy our interest on this subject.

Guild Members reported on their 'Out & About' Experiences. Anita has recently returned from a trip to Tazmania and New Zealand and entertained us with her fibre related experiences. Several members attended the 'Retreat' hosted by the Powell River Guild. A great time to network and renew friendships. Those of us who could not attend were treated to a slide show of the event.
Joyce and Lynne attended a workshop on Rep Weave at the Retreat - here are their samples.
