A particular favourite was the Dorest button. Jean described in detail how to handcraft a Dorset button, starting with a small plastic ring. The ring is covered in a blanket stitch with thread, then a small 'warp' is created on the inside of the button. Intricate designs are woven through the 'warp' threads in the centre to create unique button.
